Discover gliding
Have you ever looked up and seen a glider soaring like a bird on Nature’s natural energy? You too could be up there. If you’re looking for a new challenge, or just an exciting and different day out, try gliding with Booker Gliding Club. Anybody can do it! The Club is based at Wycombe Air Park, between High Wycombe and Marlow, just off the M40. So it’s easy to reach from West London, Central London, Oxford and Reading.

What can gliders do?
Gliding is a sport with endless possibilities. Fly miles cross-country chasing thermals, pit your skills in competition flying, learn aerobatics, or join club members on holiday trips for ridge-running, mountain soaring and much more. Or just bring a summer’s day to a perfect end with a peaceful flight as the sun sets.

Is gliding for me?
Gliding is an aviation sport which anyone can enjoy, women and men. If you can drive you could learn to fly a glider. Age is no barrier, young people can go solo at 16, and take advantage of our cadet scheme offering subsidised flying in return for helping out on the airfield. And pilots can carry on flying into their 80s if they are fit enough.

How can I get started?
Booker Gliding Club welcomes new members. The Club operates all year round and offers courses and membership options to get you started, plus a cadet scheme for young people. Booker GC has an excellent fleet of gliders and tugs. All instruction is done by professional staff and qualified member instructors. Course students play a full part in club life, helping to run the launch point and handling gliders on the ground, giving them a fully rounded understanding of the sport.

Please note: The club will only offer refunds within 7 days of purchase.
